Rhaphidophora tenuis - a climbing botanical species from the Araceae family, native to Borneo.

Rhaphidophora tenuis is a plant from the Araceae family, related to well-known genera such as Monstera, Philodendron, and Epipremnum. It is native to tropical areas of Asia, including countries like Malaysia and Thailand. This plant is less known compared to other members of the Araceae family but is beginning to gain popularity among indoor plant collectors due to its unique appearance.

The plant has small to medium leaves, which can vary in shape and size, but are often heart-shaped or elongated. The stems are generally flexible and can climb or hang, making it suitable for growing on a climbing support or as a hanging plant.

Rhaphidophora tenuis prefers well-drained soil and high humidity, typical for tropical plants. Like other plants in the Araceae family, it prefers bright indirect light but can also tolerate lower light conditions.

Regarding watering, it is best to allow the soil to dry out partially between waterings to avoid root rot. Fertilizing can be done regularly during the growing season with a balanced fertilizer.

Not much information is known about this variety, but it seems that the difference between juvenile and mature leaves is very large.

Synonyms: Rhaphidophora korthalsii var. angustiloba
