Sansevieria 'Silver Spears' is an elegant and modern variety of Sansevieria, also known as 'Mother-in-law's Tongue'. It stands out for its long, sharp and supple leaves, with a distinct shade of silver-green, offering a sophisticated and minimalist look.
Main features:
• Leaves: Long, lanceolate, with a smooth texture and a silvery hue, with subtle dark green edges.
• Dimensions: Can reach up to 60-90 cm in height, depending on growing conditions.
• Growth: Relatively slow but stable, developing vertically.
• Stem: The plant does not have a visible stem, the leaves grow directly from underground rhizomes.
Growing conditions:
• Light: Moderate to bright indirect light is preferred, but it tolerates partial shade. It can even withstand artificial light.
• Temperature : 15-30°C, but can withstand greater variations. Sensitive to cold below 10°C.
• Humidity : Low to moderate, does not need spraying.
• Watering : Requires infrequent watering, only when the soil is completely dry (approximately once every 2-3 weeks in the warm season and once a month in the winter). It is drought resistant.
• Soil : Well-drained substrate, ideal for a mix for cacti and succulents.
Care :
• Wipe the leaves with a damp cloth to remove dust and maintain a healthy appearance.
• Moderate fertilization, once every 2 months during the growing season, with a diluted fertilizer for succulent plants.
• Transplant every 2-3 years, when the roots completely fill the pot.
