Hedera helix ‘Wonder’ is a vigorous variety of ivy (also known as English ivy), decorative through its green, glossy leaves with a characteristic lobed shape. It is an ideal plant for indoor or outdoor decoration, being easy to care for and excellent as a climbing, creeping, or trailing plant.

Appearance and use:
Its green, evergreen, and dense leaves create an excellent covering effect. The plant can be grown:
- As a trailing plant in hanging pots or window boxes
- As a climbing plant, if given support (trellis, wall, fence)
- In the garden, as ground cover or for shaded walls
Care and requirements:
- Light: indirect light or partial shade; also tolerates lower light.
- Watering: regular, allowing the soil to dry partially between waterings.
- Humidity: medium to high; adapts easily.
- Soil: general-purpose, well-drained.
- Fertilizing: monthly from March to September.
Outdoor cultivation:
Hedera helix ‘Wonder’ can also be grown in gardens in Romania, being frost-hardy down to about –20°C. It is recommended to:
- Plant in the ground at the base of fences, walls, or trees
- Choose semi-shady or shady locations
- Protect the roots in the first years in regions with very harsh winters
Note: In pots, it is advisable to move it to a sheltered place during winter, as the roots can freeze more easily.
