Aeschynanthus 'Nin' (растение червило) - XL екземпляри
Aeschynanthus ‘Nin’, also known as the lipstick plant, is a tropical houseplant native to Southeast Asia, valued for its glossy green leaves and its striking, tubular flowers in vivid shades of red with orange highlights. It is an excellent choice for hanging pots or bright corners, being relatively easy to care for.
Care for Aeschynanthus ‘Nin’:
Light: The plant prefers strong indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, especially during midday hours, as the leaves can burn. In overly shaded spaces, flowering may be reduced.
Watering: Water the plant when the top layer of soil feels dry to the touch. Make sure excess water drains completely and that the plant’s roots do not sit in water.
Temperature: Aeschynanthus ‘Nin’ prefers moderate temperatures. Avoid cold drafts and sudden temperature changes, which can affect growth and flowering.
Humidity: Being a tropical plant, it loves high ambient humidity. Lightly mist the leaves especially during cold and dry months or place the pot on a tray with pebbles and water, ensuring the pot’s bottom does not touch the water.
Soil: Use a well-draining, airy substrate mix – ideally one for orchids, aroids, or African violets. This will prevent excess moisture buildup and promote root health.
Fertilizing: During the growing season (spring and summer), apply a balanced liquid fertilizer once a month. Reduce fertilizing frequency to once every 6–8 weeks in the cold season.
Pruning: Remove the growing tips to encourage branching and a more compact appearance. Remove dried or damaged leaves to maintain the plant’s health and appearance.
Repotting: Repot the plant every 2–3 years or when the roots fully fill the pot. Choose a pot only slightly larger than the previous one.
Aeschynanthus ‘Nin’ is an ideal plant for lovers of exotic and colorful plants. With minimal care, it rewards with elegant foliage and striking flowers that bring life to any corner of the home.
