Coryanthes bruchmuelleri - botanical species of the genus Coryanthes, known for its large cups, similar to a "bucket". These epiphytic orchids are native to Colombia, Venezuela and Northern Brazil. Coryanthes bruchmuelleri is considered one of the largest species in the genus, because unopened buds can reach 11.7 cm long and 8 cm wide. Flowers are adapted for pollination by orchid bees (Euglossini bees), with a complex mutualistic relationship and a unique process of capturing and releasing pollen.
