Rhododendron indicum 'Kotaro' , cultivated as a bonsai , is a refined variety of Japanese azalea, appreciated for its spectacular flowers and for the compact, branched and balanced habit , specific to bonsai plants. The foliage is dense and persistent, dark green, and flowering generally occurs in spring, when the crown is covered with elegant flowers, contrasting harmoniously with the lignified and well-formed stem.
