Selaginella uncinata, known by the common name Peacock Moss, is a small, creeping plant, valued for its iridescent color: intense green with metallic blue-turquoise or violet reflections, depending on the light. It belongs to the primitive fern family, being a high humidity plant, ideal for terrariums, tropical showcases, mini-planters, or as a ground cover plant in shady areas.

Its common name is derived from the iridescent blue foliage, which can be more pronounced under minimal light conditions.

The plant has foliage similar to ferns but is classified as "moss" due to its terrestrial growth and spreading habit.
