Rlc. Kyle 'Heart of Gold' HCC/AOS is an orchid hybrid of the genus Rhyncholaeliocattleya, created by Miyamoto in 1979 by crossing Cattleya Little Sunbeam with Rlc. Waikiki Gold. It is recognized for its large, fragrant flowers, which can reach 10-15 cm, with golden-yellow petals and sepals, sometimes with orange hues, and a rolled, intensely colored labellum, with deep yellow tones and reddish accents. The flowers exude a sweet, pleasant fragrance, and usually appear in inflorescences with 2-4 flowers, blooming in spring or summer. The plant is compact, with pseudobulbs of 5-10 cm and lanceolate leaves, 15-20 cm. It prefers bright light, even partial sun, high humidity and temperatures of 18-28°C. It received the Highly Commended Certificate (HCC) from the American Orchid Society (AOS) in 2008 for the quality of its flowers.

This hybrid is cared for like a Cattleya orchid. Check out the care guide here.
