Rebutia cv. sunrise
It is a succulent plant originating from South America, especially from the mountainous areas of Bolivia and Argentina.
Synonyms: Sulcorebutia 'Sunrise', Rebutia heliosa 'Sunrise'.This variety has a small and compact shape, usually globular, with a diameter of 5-6 cm. The body of the cactus is dark green and is covered with small protrusions (tubers) from which thin and radiant thorns grow.
The defining characteristic of Rebutia cv. 'Sunrise' is its inflorescence. The flowers appear in the spring and are of an intense red-orange color, hence the name 'Sunrise'. The flowers are large compared to the size of the plant and can completely cover the body of the cactus, creating a special visual spectacle.
Caring for this plant requires a bright environment, but with protection from the scorching midday sun. Watering is done moderately, letting the soil dry completely between waterings, and in winter watering is significantly reduced. The soil must be well drained to prevent root rot.
