Pachypodium densiflorum is a succulent plant native to Madagascar, where it grows in dry conditions on rocky terrain. It is appreciated for its unusual shape and spectacular flowers.

Size and shape : Pachypodium densiflorum is a succulent shrub or small tree that can reach heights of 1.5-4 meters. The trunk is thick and juicy (caudex), covered with long and rigid spines, and the crown is formed by a small number of branches.

Leaves : Leaves are lanceolate, glossy, dark green, about 10-20 cm (4-8 inches) long. They appear mainly in the tips of the branches and form a thin crown.

Flowers : Pachypodium densiflorum produces yellow flowers, about 4 cm (1.5 inches) in diameter. The flowers appear in racemes at the top of the branches, during the growing season. The flowers are tubular, having petals arranged in the shape of a star.

Cultivation: Pachypodium densiflorum is a drought-resistant plant and prefers well-drained soils and exposure to full or partial sun. The plant can be grown indoors or outdoors, in areas where temperatures do not drop below 10 degrees Celsius.
