Oncidium 'Purple Grape' scented

A refined choice for lovers of fragrant orchids, Oncidium 'Purple Grape' impresses with its richly colored flowers and unmistakable aroma, reminiscent of a fine raspberry and chocolate dessert. This hybrid belongs to the dancing orchids group, known for their delicate flowers with petals resembling a dress in motion.

The flowers have intense shades of burgundy, lilac, and deep red, with lighter accents on the labellum, creating an elegant contrast. The inflorescences are branched and spectacular, each stem supporting dozens of small but highly expressive flowers that attract both the eyes and the olfactory senses.

Growing conditions:

• Light: prefers a bright spot, but protected from direct sun during peak hours. An east or west-facing windowsill is ideal.

• Temperature: optimal range 18–26°C, with a slight day/night difference to stimulate flowering.

• Watering: keep the substrate slightly moist but not soaked; watering is recommended after the substrate partially dries out.

• Humidity: prefers moderate to high humidity (50–70%), with good ventilation.

• Fertilizing: during the active growth period (spring–summer), fertilize every 2 weeks with an orchid fertilizer.
