Hoya polyneura 'Broget' is a true variegated cultivar of the species Hoya polyneura, commercially known as Fishtail Hoya. The leaves have prominent venation resembling a fish tail, with cream, yellow, or light green sectors on the green blade. The variegation is not silver splash. The growth habit is trailing. Under good growing conditions, fragrant umbels of cream-yellow flowers with red coronas may appear. Care is simple, and the plant grows steadily.

Foliage and variegation. The foliage is thin and elliptical, with clear veins creating the fish-tail pattern. In this selection, the light areas cover portions of the leaf blade rather than appearing as silver speckles. The proportions of cream, yellow, and green vary from leaf to leaf. The variegated areas are more sensitive: keep the plant in bright light, protected from direct sun. Growth slows during the cold season, and excess water is poorly tolerated. The length of the vines varies depending on the season. The leaves may have handling damage.

Flowers and fragrance. The flowers are cream-yellow with red coronas, grouped in umbels. They are fragrant; the scent is subtle and may vary. The flowers last for several days, depending on the microclimate. Blooming depends on the plant's maturity and growing conditions.

Identity. The accepted botanical name of the species is Hoya polyneura Hook.f., native from the central Himalayas to northwestern Yunnan. 'Broget' is the label for this variegated selection.

Substrate: use an airy, well-draining mix suitable for epiphytic species. We recommend the professional substrate for Hoya and Anthurium - SG Mix.
