Hoya 'Optimistic' is the result of crossing Hoya 'Ruthie' and Hoya ciliata. Like its parents, it is a fast-growing plant that prefers sunlight and a larger pot with a richer nutrient substrate.
Each flower measures approximately 4.5 cm in diameter. The reddish flowers have a yellow center and a delightful scent that reminds us of lemon.
Hoya 'Optimistic' belongs to the Eriostemma section. In Romania, flowering of varieties from the Eriostemma section has been reported less than 1 year after acquiring young plants.
