Hoya carnosa 'Snowball'
€12,95
Hoya carnosa 'Snowball' - a cultivar of Hoya carnosa highly valued for the shape and appearance of its fleshy leaves, dark green in color, speckled with silver spots. The flowers are typical of carnosa specimens - large umbels in shades of white and pink, strongly fragrant.
It is said that this cultivar has been in circulation since 1960, but there is not enough data to confirm that it is the same cultivar. Some collectors claim that this cultivar is the same as Hoya motoskey, which in turn would be the true Hoya carnosa, with larger flowers and more distinctive characteristics.
Hoya carnosa 'Snowball' shows great variability in its leaves - on a single plant there are leaves of different shapes, some exceptionally large, but young leaves almost always have the same shape. A difference in leaf size has also been observed between plants of the same age, although they are clones obtained from the same mother plant, but it is expected that the sizes will be roughly similar as the plants mature.
Hoya Carnosa is the most recognized species in the genus and is also one of the most popular.
