Dracula sodiroi - Dracula orchid, Monkey orchid

Dracula sodiroi is a compact and miniature epiphytic orchid species, native to the moist mountain forests of Ecuador and Colombia, where it grows at high altitudes in cool and damp conditions. It has green, lance-shaped leaves about 10-15 cm long, and produces hanging flower clusters with small flowers approximately 5-7 cm wide, featuring long, narrow orange sepals and a fuzzy inner appearance resembling monkey faces when open, blooming almost year-round under optimal conditions. It is delicate, preferring shade, high humidity, and cooler night temperatures, making it suitable also for terrariums.
