The undisputed star of the cymbidium collections, and often the reason why lovers of this genus discover the endless variety of available hybrid collections, Burrageara Nelly Isler owes its genus name, abbreviated in the horticultural trade as Burr., to Albert Cameron Burrage - "A.C. Burrage" (November 21, 1859 – June 29, 1931), an industrialist, lawyer, philanthropist, and horticulturist, who first succeeded in growing the genus in 1927.
