Phalaenopsis sanderiana is a botanical species of epiphytic orchid native to the Philippines, especially the island of Mindanao, where it grows at low altitudes in warm and humid areas. It belongs to the Orchidaceae family (subfamily Epidendroideae, tribe Vandeae, subtribe Aeridinae). The species was initially described by Heinrich Gustav Reichenbach in 1882, later receiving its name in honor of the British horticulturist Henry Frederick Conrad Sander.

The inflorescences emerge from the leaf axils, in the form of long, curved stems reaching up to 80 cm in length and can support a significant number of flowers, from a few to several dozen, depending on the plant's maturity. The flowers generally have a diameter of 5-8.5 cm, with sepals and petals in shades of pale pink or lilac, while the labellum (lip) is white with yellow accents towards the interior. The petal texture is slightly waxy, and the flowers open in succession - the blooming thus lasts up to several months.

Adult specimens are capable of simultaneously producing multiple stems loaded with flowers.

Flower size: 5-8.5 cm (depending on the plant's maturity)
