Mammillaria polythele 'Toluca' is a spectacular variety of columnar cactus, native to Mexico, highly prized by collectors for its elegant form and rarity in cultivation. The stems are erect, dark green, covered with small, spirally arranged tubercles, from which short, fine, white or yellowish spines emerge. In spring and summer, the plant produces pink or purple flowers, arranged in circular crowns around the stem, a classic show for the Mammillaria genus.
