The Cattleya genus is considered the queen of orchids – prized for its large, spectacular, fragrant flowers, with ruffled petals and vividly colored lips. The flowers may be white, pink, purple, orange, or bicolored, depending on the species or hybrid. The plants have robust pseudobulbs and leathery leaves, characteristic of epiphytic orchids from Central and South America.
