Cattleya schilleriana - a botanical species discovered in the state of Espirito Santo in Brazil. This small-sized species is epiphytic and grows on woody shrubs on rocky walls, with water runoff in summer and a river below, at altitudes from sea level up to 800 meters. There is no rain between summer and autumn. The orchid has pseudobulbs bearing two apical leaves, elliptic-elongated, dark green on top and purplish-reddish underneath. It blooms more frequently in summer and autumn on a short terminal stem, with 1 to 5 waxy, fragrant flowers, smelling of honey and with a long lifespan.
