Philodendron ‘Red Sun’ is a spectacular variety of hybrid philodendron, mainly cultivated for its vividly colored foliage, which goes through vibrant shades of red, orange, and green as the leaf matures. It is a tropical indoor plant with compact growth, highly appreciated in modern collections for its exotic appearance and intense colors.

🔹 Recommended growing conditions:

• Light: Prefers strong indirect light, but also adapts to partial shade. Exposure to strong direct sunlight can burn the leaves, but good light is essential to maintain the vibrant color.

• Watering: Moderate. Water when the top layer of soil is dry. Avoid excess water, which can lead to root rot.

• Soil: Aerated and well-drained, based on peat, perlite, and crushed bark – an ideal tropical substrate for vigorous roots.

• Humidity: Appreciates medium to high atmospheric humidity, but also tolerates dry indoor air if kept away from direct heat sources.

• Fertilization: During the growing season, it can be fertilized once a month with a liquid fertilizer for ornamental foliage plants.
