Psychopsis Mariposa - sequential training
Psychopsis Mariposa is an epiphytic orchid hybrid, resulting from the crossing of Psychopsis papilio and Psychopsis Kalihi. It was recorded in 1972 by Ruben in Orch. It is one of the hybrids with easy and frequent flowering, for this reason it is also the most sought after in the Psychopsis family.
The flowers have an interesting shape, unique in the whole world of plants. It is said to resemble a butterfly, hence the nickname "butterfly orchid".
Each flower can last up to 4 weeks and after the flower fades, it will develop and bloom again in a few weeks. This orchid has sequential flowering.
This orchid can rebloom permanently on the same stem for 5-15 years! Do not cut the flower stem until it is completely dry.
