Hoya sp. Malang is a locality label, not a published botanical name. The material is associated with the Malang area of East Java. The foliage in this lot is oval, thick, glossy green, with pale veins. Some leaves display a dark line along the margin. Malang is not accepted as a separate species and is not the larger lot. Under good growing conditions, star-shaped, waxy umbels may appear, described as pale pink to peach. The flowers are fragrant. Blooming depends on the plant’s maturity and growing conditions.

Foliage. The foliage is firm, oval, medium to dark green, and glossy, with a paler midrib and lateral veins. Some leaves have a thin, dark border. The white spots on the leaf blades visible in the photos may be dust or water marks; we do not consider them stable splash variegation.

Flowers and fragrance. The flowers are star-shaped and waxy, grouped in umbels, pale pink or peach, with a darker corona. They are fragrant; we do not assign a single fixed scent note. The shade may vary. Blooming depends on the plant’s maturity and growing conditions.

Identity. Malang is a city in East Java. In the absence of a published description, Hoya sp. is not a confirmed synonym of an accepted species, and we do not assign it to the verticillata complex. Collection locality.

The ceramic pot is not included in the price.

Substrate: use an airy, well-draining mix suitable for epiphytic species. We recommend the professional substrate for Hoya and Anthurium - SG Mix.
