Hoya 'Ruthie' (MM x sussuela) - flori mari, parfumate

Hoya 'Ruthie' (MM x sussuela) - hybrid obtained by hand pollination between Hoya 'MM' and Hoya sussuela (syn. H. ariadna) by Ed Gilding. The flowers are fragrant, have a lifespan of up to 10 days, a size of about 5 cm, and the color varies depending on the growing conditions, in combinations of yellow and red.
The plant has a fast growth rate and is not demanding, but it develops best in conditions of high temperatures and very good light, flowering being also conditioned by these factors. It has the habit of growing very much before the first flowering, but growth is rapid, the vines easily reaching lengths of several meters, frequently branching.
In Romania, flowering of varieties from the Eriostemma section has been reported less than 1 year after the acquisition of young plants.
Hoya 'Ruthie' is part of the Eriostemma section.
