Hoya finlaysonii (Sabah)
Hoya finlaysonii - rare species, originally from Penang, Malaysia. The plant is extremely sought after and appreciated for its spectacular foliage - the large and thick leaves with prominent veins and splash manage to impress any collector. The flowers are spectacular, with a scent of cinnamon and a lifespan of 3-4 days.
Hoya finlaysonii is considered easy to grow, when it is provided with adequate heat and humidity. Flowering can occur several times during a year, but the plant tends to lose buds when the microclimate is not stable - temperature differences, air currents, too dry air. Most of the time, after a failed flowering, the old penunculi produce new buds.
