Full description and specifications

Ferocactus glaucescens, also known as "glaucus cactus" or "blue-green cactus", is a species of cactus native to Mexico. This succulent plant has a globular appearance in the early stages of growth, changing to a cylindrical shape as it matures. It can reach a height of 60 cm and a diameter of 40 cm.

It is recognized for its distinctive color, a bluish or glaucescent green, hence the name of the species. Small "ribs" are arranged vertically on its surface, along which there are areas with thorns. The spines are usually yellow, long and strong, arranged in groups of 5-7 on each areola.

Its flowers, which appear at the top of the plant, are yellow and can reach up to 4 cm in diameter. Infructescences are yellow to red-brown.

Ferocactus glaucescens is a resistant plant that prefers well-drained soil and needs moderate sun exposure. It is drought tolerant and can withstand low temperatures if properly protected. This plant is appreciated for its unique shape and color, as well as for its attractive flowers
