Fig - Ficus carica 'Panache' (variegated fruit)

Ficus carica 'Panache' - a fig variety cultivated since ancient times, with variegated fruits that create a sensation in any garden.

This cultivar originates from ancient France (first mentioned in texts from 1668) and is renowned for its cold resistance and consistent fruiting.

The fruits have green skin with yellow-cream streaks. The pulp is red, sweet, and aromatic. Variety with two fruiting periods per year.

Fruit weight: approx. 60-90 grams

Garden hardiness. It withstands temperatures down to -20°C without significant damage. Resistance increases as the plant matures, the root system develops, and the branches thicken. It is recommended to protect young plants in the first years by wrapping them with microporous film (anti-frost film, Agril-type film, etc.). Freezing cases in fig trees cause damage to the aerial parts, but the roots remain alive, and the plant regrows in spring.

Disease and pest resistance. Fig trees are considered ‘pest free’.

Parthenocarpic variety - self-fertile and does not require a pollinator.

Pot diameter: 14 cm. Height including pot: approx. 40-50 cm.

Plants for garden or terrace are grown in unprotected or minimally protected spaces (shade nets or hail nets). For this reason, they naturally cannot have perfect foliage - leaves may show marks, defects, or other damage.

During the cold season, plants enter a period of dormancy.
