Filodendro Dragón Dorado Jaspeado

Philodendron Golden Dragon - a variety notable for its leaves.

This variety has nectar-producing glands on the back of its leaves. The nectar serves to attract ants searching for food - thus, the plant gains chemicals secreted by them, and also benefits from the aggressive way ant colonies defend their territory and food source, protecting the philodendron from other harmful insects.

Note: Stock specimens may also have leaves with defects.
