Paphiopedilum Rosy Dawn (Venus's Slipper)
Non-primary hybrid, with both parents (Paphiopedilum ‘Astarte’ and Paphiopedilum ‘Gwen Hannen’) being non-primary hybrids themselves, Paphiopedilum Rosy Dawn White stands out both for its delicate, pale colors that range from white to cream/vanilla or even sometimes pink, depending on the light intensity during the flowering period, and for its large flowers (similar to Maudiae (Black Jack, Femma)) relative to the height of the foliage. Like many Paphiopedilum hybrids, Rosy Dawn White can bloom both in summer and winter, sometimes even benefiting from two flowering seasons, which influences the flower colors, much to the delight of collectors.
The flowers show some color variations.
