Monstera 'Thai Constellation' (super variegación)

Monstera 'Thai Constellation' is a cultivated variety of the species Monstera deliciosa, belonging to the Araceae family. This cultivar shows sectorial variegation, in varying shades of white-cream-yellow and green irregularly spread over the leaf surface, resulting from a genetic mutation.

The mature leaves of this plant have fenestrations (and/or perforations) and are heart-shaped, with entire or lobed edges. Monstera deliciosa 'Thai Constellation' is a large epiphytic vine, meaning it naturally grows on other plants without being a parasite and gains support by wrapping around the host.

Monstera deliciosa 'Thai Constellation' requires indirect light, moderate to strong, a substrate with proper drainage properties, and watering when the top few centimeters of the substrate have dried out. Due to the plant’s natural tendency to climb, it is recommended to use a support or moss pole of generous size to facilitate the plant’s vertical growth.

Humidity. Considering the origin of the base species (tropical jungle), the plant thrives in conditions of high atmospheric moisture. However, it can be relatively easily acclimated within the range of 40-60%, with the higher end preferred. During acclimation periods, it is recommended to frequently mist the leaves at first to prevent the appearance of black spots. Misting can be gradually reduced.
