Senecio Rowleyanus (string of pearls, string of peas, or bead chain) are succulent plants, native to South Africa, where in their natural habitats they grow directly on the ground, with their stems trailing and rooting whenever the stems touch the soil. They usually grow in the shade, sheltered by other plants or tall rocks.
Like other succulent plants, senecio needs well-drained soil. A mix of cactus soil combined with perlite for better drainage (1:1) or sandy soil.
Senecio requires strong, but indirect light, and must be protected from the strong afternoon sun.
Water thoroughly, then allow to dry slightly between waterings.
Note: this plant is delicate and may show damage after transport.
