Paraphalaenopsis labukensis is a striking and unusual botanical orchid, native to Borneo, known for its extremely long, cylindrical leaves that can hang gracefully like green ribbons, giving the plant a unique exotic appearance.
The flowers are large and waxy, ranging in color from yellow-green to bronze-reddish, with pinkish or brown stripes and spots, and a scent reminiscent of cinnamon. Blooming occurs on curved stems that carry several flowers at once.
This epiphytic species is adapted to warm and humid climates, with filtered light and good air circulation. Being rare in cultivation, it is especially valued by collectors passionate about exotic orchids and unusual leaf and flower forms.
