Tradescantia 'Pistachio White' is an ornamental cultivar in the Commelinaceae family, noted for its delicate foliage, in pastel shades of light green, creamy white and sometimes with subtle pink accents, depending on the light and growing conditions. It is a modern and decorative variety, grown mainly as an indoor plant or in hanging pots, for its creeping habit and bright appearance.

🔹 Botanical characteristics:

• Habit: herbaceous plant, with succulent, thin and flexible stems, which stretch or hang slightly, forming a dense vegetal carpet. It can be grown both in classic and hanging pots, or as an edge plant.

• Leaves: small to medium, elliptical and pointed at the tip, arranged in opposite pairs on the stem. The color is the main attraction: light pistachio-green combined with creamy-white , with variations from plant to plant. On the underside, some leaves may have pale pink or lilac tints, especially in good light.

• Flowers: small, discreet, with three white or slightly pinkish petals, which appear at the growing points, but have secondary decorative value compared to the foliage.

🔹 Recommended growing conditions:

• Light: Prefers bright indirect light, but can tolerate partial shade. Good light preserves leaf contrast and enhances variegation. Strong direct sun can burn the leaves, but light morning exposure is beneficial.

• Watering: Moderate. Water when the substrate is dry on the surface. Excessive watering can cause root and stem rot. It is better to water it less often than too often.

• Soil: Aerated and well-drained. A potting mix with added perlite is ideal.

• Humidity: It adapts well to the humidity of ordinary homes, but will appreciate a slightly more humid environment, especially in the warm season.

• Recommended temperatures: Moderate temperatures, without sudden variations. Does not tolerate cold or cold drafts.
