Tradescantia albiflora 'Nanouk' D5 - babyplant
Tradescantia albiflora ‘Nanouk’ is a modern and very decorative cultivar from the Commelinaceae family, valued for its colorful foliage and compact habit. It was developed in the Netherlands through horticultural selection to obtain a plant that is more resilient, more compact, and with a striking coloration.
🔹 Recommended growing conditions:
• Light: Prefers bright indirect light. The better the light, the more intense the leaf colors become. In low light, the plant loses its pink and white shades, becoming mostly green.
• Watering: Moderate. Allow the top layer of the soil to dry out between waterings. It is sensitive to excess water and waterlogging in the pot, which can cause root or stem rot.
• Soil: Well-drained, airy soil rich in organic matter. A mix for indoor plants, possibly with perlite or sand, is ideal.
• Humidity: Adapts well to normal indoor air humidity but appreciates a slightly moist environment, especially in the warm season. Frequent misting is not necessary.
• Fertilizing: Can be fertilized every 2–4 weeks during the active growing period (spring–summer) with a balanced fertilizer in small doses.
The leaf shade varies depending on the batch received.
⚠️ Note: The leaves of Tradescantia Nanouk are delicate and may show minor imperfections (dry edges, spots, or discolorations), especially during transport or when changing environmental conditions. These aspects are purely cosmetic and do not affect the plant’s vitality.
