Rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) is an aromatic evergreen shrub from the Lamiaceae family, native to the Mediterranean area. It is valued both as a culinary plant and as an ornamental or medicinal plant.

🔹 Botanical characteristics

Habit: Branched shrub, 0.5–2 m tall, woody stems and gray bark.

Leaves: Needle-like, 2–4 cm long, dark green on the front and whitish-silvery on the back, with an intense aroma.

Flowers: Light blue to violet, occasionally white or pink; generally appear in spring and autumn, arranged in clusters at the base of the leaves.

Fruits: Small, dark brown nuts.
