Rebutia violaceflora
Rebutia violaceiflora is a small and charming succulent plant, popular among cactus enthusiasts due to its compact size and striking flowers. It belongs to the Cactaceae family and is native to the mountainous regions of Bolivia.
What truly makes this plant special are its flowers, which bloom in spring or summer. The flowers are usually a deep violet, very attractive and contrasting with the green of the stem.
Rebutia violaceiflora is a relatively easy cactus to care for. Rebutia violaceiflora prefers bright light but should be shielded from the midday sun to avoid burns. Watering should be moderate; allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. During winter, this plant requires an even more reduced watering schedule, as it is a resting period for it.
This plant fares well in mild temperatures but does not tolerate severe cold. It is ideal to keep it in places where the temperature does not fall below 10 degrees Celsius.
