The philodendron is considered by NASA to be one of the best plants for removing formaldehyde, especially when it is in high concentration.
Placement: The philodendron prefers a bright spot, sheltered from direct sunlight. However, it will also tolerate a darker area. The foliage will become greener if placed in a shadier spot.
Watering: The soil should be neither too wet nor too dry. Water regularly, allowing the soil to dry partially between waterings. Make sure the pot has good drainage.
Soil: The philodendron prefers nutrient-rich soil that retains moisture well.
