Масдевалия Анаи
The Masdevallia orchid is native to South America.
The plant grows from a short rhizome, which creates small pseudobulbs. Some are hemicryptophytes: pseudobulbs at or just below the surface. Each pseudobulb has smooth, fleshy leaves that grow in clusters. The green leaves are oval or lance-shaped. They usually bloom during the summer. The flowers are triangular in shape and about 6 cm wide. Usually, there is only one flower per stem, but there can be many. The petals and the tongue-shaped or shell-shaped lip are small and partly hidden deep within the flower. The sepals are often very brightly colored and large.
Approximate height: about 20 cm.
Pot diameter: 9 cm.
Attention! This plant is sensitive to transport and may arrive without flowers.
