Hoya ruthiae (Hoya sp. UT-168) - a species recently discovered and published in 2015 by Michele Rodda. It stands out through its impressive flowers with an unusual shape, appearing in groups of 15-20 per stalk, fragrant.
In its natural habitat, Hoya ruthiae grows on rocky terrain, in conditions of high humidity, but it seems to adapt easily to various growing conditions. Careful attention is needed regarding watering frequency and the amount of water used, as the plant does not tolerate excess water well. The plant's sap is colorless.
The plant was named Hoya ruthiae in honor of Dr. Ruth Kiew, a botanist at the "Forest Institute of Malaysia".
Fragrant flowers: YES
