Hoya puber - a rare species, native to Borneo, Java, and Sumatra. Although it was discovered in 1827, there are very few correctly identified specimens in circulation.

The leaves are small and downy, which is the origin of the name Hoya puber.

The flowers are small in size but impress with their abundance and appearance. They are strongly scented - sweet fragrance - and last up to 6-7 days after opening.

The plant is sensitive to overwatering, especially during the cold season.

Hoya puber has been sold over time under the names Hoya picta and Hoya aff. picta. It is often confused with Hoya nummularoides.

Synonyms: Hoya picta (incorrect), Hoya pubera (incorrect), Acanthostemma pictum

Note: Hoya is a plant with long and flexible vines, which may show small damages, wrinkles, or traces of handling due to transport or change of environment. These imperfections are normal for the Hoya genus and do not affect the health or the plant’s ability to grow and produce new leaves.
