Hoya obovata is known as a "hoya cactus" - the plant thrives with infrequent watering and medium to low atmospheric humidity and is easy to bloom. It requires a substrate with good drainage and good light for flowering.
The flowers are a spectacular combination of red and pink, fragrant. The plant is considered easy to bloom.
Origin: Maluku, Sulawesi, Thailand, Vietnam. The species was first described in 1844.
Notes: plants with 4-5 leaves. Some specimens show specific colorations on the leaves.
