Cordyline fruticosa 'Geraldo' is a decorative tropical plant known for its leaves, native to Southeast Asia. Cordyline fruticosa is also known as Cordyline terminalis or Dracaena terminalis.
Cordyline fruticosa filters toxins from the air, such as formaldehyde, benzene, and trichloroethylene from the atmosphere.
Care instructions:
Placement: in a bright area. Direct sunlight should be limited to at most a few hours per day, as it can affect the leaves.
Water: keep the substrate constantly moist. Let the top part of the soil dry slightly before watering. Reduce watering during winter. It will tolerate some degree of drought. Do not allow water to stagnate at the bottom of the plant.
Temperature: optimal between 18-27 degrees Celsius, not lower than 13 degrees Celsius.
Humidity: preferably place the pot on a tray with wet pebbles.
Fertilizer: Apply a weakly diluted fertilizer 1-2 times/month during the growing season. Do not use fertilizer with fluorine.
It can reach a height of 100-150 cm indoors, with a moderate growth rate.
