Rlc. Kyle 'Heart of Gold' HCC/AOS is a hybrid orchid from the Rhyncholaeliocattleya genus, created by Miyamoto in 1979 by crossing Cattleya Little Sunbeam with Rlc. Waikiki Gold. It is known for its large, fragrant flowers, which can reach 10-15 cm, with yellow-golden petals and sepals, sometimes with orange shades, and a rolled lip, richly colored with deep yellow tones and reddish highlights. The flowers emit a sweet, pleasant scent and usually appear in clusters of 2-4 blooms, flowering in spring or summer. The plant is compact, with pseudobulbs of 5-10 cm and lance-shaped leaves of 15-20 cm. It prefers strong light, even partial sun, high humidity, and temperatures of 18-28°C. It received the Highly Commended Certificate (HCC) from the American Orchid Society (AOS) in 2008 for the quality of its flowers.

This hybrid is cared for like a Cattleya orchid. See the care guide here.
