Mentha piperita 'Orange' is a hybrid of Mentha aquatica (watermint) and Mentha spicata (spearmint). This variety is prized for its characteristic mint aroma with a subtle citrus note. It is fantastic for lemonades, ice creams, cocktails and culinary dishes, but like other types of mint, it also has numerous medicinal properties.
It is as cold-hardy as traditional varieties and is considered pest-free, as its distinctive scent and essential oils make it an effective repellent.
