Masdevallia herradurae

Masdevallia herradurae is a miniature and compact epiphytic orchid species, native to the humid mountainous regions of Colombia and Ecuador, where it grows at high altitudes in cool to intermediate conditions. It has narrow, light green leaves about 7-10 cm long, and produces short inflorescences with small flowers, about 1-2 cm, dark red or brown-purple in color, with long pointed tails and a subtle cinnamon scent, blooming prolifically almost all year or in seasonal waves. It is easy to grow in terrariums, preferring indirect light, high humidity, and constant moisture.
