Hoya pachyclada 'Albomarginata' is a collector's cultivar, notable for its thick, fleshy leaves with marginal variegation. The leaves are broad, firm and predominantly green, surrounded by irregular bands ranging from cream to yellowish green; on some leaves, the lighter margins may develop pinkish tones in intense light. The distribution and width of the variegation naturally vary from one leaf to another, while the compact growth habit and sturdy stems give the plant a sculptural appearance.

Name and identification. The name Hoya pachyclada was published by Kerr in 1939 in Bulletin of Miscellaneous Information, Royal Gardens, Kew.

Characteristics. This species is an epiphytic plant with a compact, vining growth habit. It produces short, thick and succulent stems, while the leaves are opposite, obovate, leathery and fleshy. In this selection, the green center contrasts with the cream or yellowish-green margin. The variegation may be wider on some leaves and narrower on others, so each living specimen has its own unique pattern. Growth is often slow, but the rate varies depending on growing conditions.

Flowers and fragrance. Under good growing conditions, the plant may produce dense, almost globular umbels with waxy, fragrant flowers. The flowers range from cream-white to very pale greenish white, while the corona may have pinkish-red hues toward the center. An umbel may contain approximately 20–25 flowers. Flowering depends on the plant's maturity and growing conditions.

The ceramic pot is not included in the price.

Note: Hoya flowers and buds are delicate and may be damaged or lost during shipping or handling. The plant remains healthy and may flower again with proper care.

Substrate: use an airy, well-draining mix suitable for epiphytic species. We recommend the professional substrate for Hoya and Anthurium - SG Mix.
