Hoya crassipetiolata 'Splash Round' is a cultivar of the species Hoya crassipetiolata, selected for its firm, glossy foliage and silver patterning between the veins (splash). The intensity of the markings varies from one leaf to another. It has a climbing habit, with long vines, and the tips can be fragile during transport. The species is native to Vietnam. Flowering depends on the plant's maturity and growing conditions. Large specimens provide an immediate decorative effect.

Foliage and growth. The leaves are oval or slightly elliptic, thick, with robust petioles, a characteristic that gave the species its name. The veins form a reticulated pattern, accentuated by the silver areas. In good light, the foliage becomes more contrasted. Batch photos show several plants in the same pot, at different stages. The long vines are fragile and may be damaged during transport or handling.

Flowers and fragrance. The gallery shows umbels with small, waxy, white or cream flowers and a pale pink corona. The color may vary depending on growing conditions. We do not guarantee fragrance. The peduncles remain after flowering. Flowering depends on the plant's maturity and growing conditions.

Identity. The accepted botanical name is Hoya crassipetiolata Aver., V.T.Pham & T.A.Le, published in 2017. The species is native to Vietnam. Hoya hainanensis is a separately accepted species and not an original name for this taxon. Commercial labels such as Da Nang or DaNang Vietnam indicate the origin of the horticultural material, not another botanical name. Splash Round is a round-bladed foliage form, distinct from the Splash selection with narrower leaves.

Substrate: use an airy, well-drained mix suitable for epiphytic species. We recommend the professional substrate for Hoya and Anthurium - SG Mix.
