Hoya Benitotans
Hoya benitotanii - species with beautiful leaves, thick and juicy, glossy and slightly ribbed, up to 14 cm long and 5 cm wide. At first they are strongly colored with red (if the plant is grown in strong light), but as they mature they become simple green.
Flowers : The flowers are butter yellow, with slightly curved (revolved) edges, up to 7 mm in diameter, with a light yellow corolla. Each umbel can have up to 30 flowers, and they emit a light citrus scent. The flowers last up to 7 days.
Light : Blooms well in strong indirect light.
Water requirements : The substrate must dry between waterings. Prefer a well-drained mix. Reduced watering in winter.
Maintenance : Reduced. It grows best supported on a trellis. During the growth period, it is fertilized with low doses of fertilizer.
Full name: Hoya benitotanii Philippines IML 1830, previously also known as Hoya gigantangensis.
It is an intermediate temperature hoya, preferring temperatures between 15-35°C.
