Tillandsia streptophylla, also known as “Shirley Temple Air Plant” due to its spirally twisted leaves, is one of the most spectacular air plants. The broad leaves, covered with a fine silvery layer, elegantly curl as the plant absorbs moisture from the air, forming a distinctive architectural rosette.

• Family: Bromeliaceae

• Origin: Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean

• Foliage: broad, silvery-green, velvety, naturally curling under low humidity conditions

• Flowers: intense pink, with shades of purple and violet; durable and decorative inflorescence

• Size: 10–20 cm (adult plant)

• Light: strong, indirect light; also adapts well to airy and bright spaces

• Watering: mist 2–3 times a week or soak in water for 10–15 minutes weekly, followed by good aeration
