Disocactus mallisonii (Aporocactus × mallisonii) is an epiphytic cactus from the genus Disocactus, known for its ornamental beauty.
Appearance : Cactus with elongated, thin and pendulous stems, usually dark green.
Flowers : They produce large and attractive flowers, which can vary in shade from pink, red to other vibrant colors. The flowers can be tubular or campanulate.
Care : As an epiphytic cactus, it prefers a bright area, but away from direct sun. The soil must be well drained, but with more organic matter than typical soils for cacti. It is watered when the upper layer of the soil starts to dry.
Origin : Originally from the tropical forests of Central and South America, this cactus is adapted to a wetter and less bright environment than desert cacti.
